At ORD headed to Portland Or for strategic planning. Odds are 2:1 that it will be appropriately challenging

This little guy spent it's life on the wrist of a Navy Captain. I purchased it from his niece, and then did a very gentle sympathetic restoration.

The crystal cracked at the rim upon removal, so I had to crazy glue it back together and then very carefully polish it. That's why the rust stain was not removed.
Wow! That is an awesome watch! Congrats!

CK 14755 today which was interestingly first sold to the US 6th Fleet in 1962. It hasn't seen many diving duties whilst being in my possession but we did encounter a somewhat heavy shower this afternoon and it performed quite admirably 馃槈

Too many watches to wear the Speedie every Tuesday 馃槈

Older Alpinas are appealing to me. I like seeing them. The brand isn't familiar to me down here in the hinterlands of Texas, but is an intriguing one. Your watch is nice to see here in this thread.

There's a 1940s/1950s (?) Alpina Rensie in its 33mm case with a black(?), slate gray(?), faded(?), "tropical" (?) dial in the menagerie here. It runs when wound and keeps indifferent (meaning bad) time. I have never used it because it's never been serviced since acquisition. Perhaps if I'd take the trouble to photograph it and stick it up on the Forum something could be learned about it.

I think Rensie was the US named ones in the 40s when first shipped there.
Square one ?
