Continuing my Asian watch week. Orient is in my opinion an often undervalued brand - they have made some really nice watches. I guess many of you, like I used to - too, scorns the brand just because of the name. The vintage divers are often extreme value for money though. This late sixities diver came from my watch pusher - situated in Japan - the other week. Inner rotating bezel, applied logo, haircross, day-date and Zenith-ish hands. An overall nice looking vintage diver - large in size. Compare it to/with other vintage divers of the time. Costs almost nothing. A good workhorse, cheap and good looking. What more can one ask for?
I made a little photo stage today from a beer carton and a sheet of white paper. I took of the daily beater for some shots, here they are. Still some bits to get finessed though, lighting, reflections, angles. It never ends (the perfect shot that is).
In addition to a black Bellini alligator, cut for Omega deployant, I also picked up a brown one. As a two for Tuesday, I have them on these. Will probably go back and forth today, but trying to break-in the black one as I post. YaY!
