The Hadley Roma strap has acquired a nice patina, and someday it will perhaps match my 16 year old buffalo leather jacket, which was my first expensive piece of clothing I bought with my own money, back in January 2000. I can still remember buying the (in my eyes, back then!) hugely expensive jacket chilly Saturday morning in January before meeting my parents at a "New Years Jazz" event in my home town. I was a bit nervous about presenting it, as I thought of it as a bit of a splurge. It has followed me through my late teens and twenties and has had a few light repairs, but quality items never really get old, they just age😀
The Tissot has aged gracefully as well (and has had some minor surgery too, in its life) and watch, strap and jacket are a nice match, I think.
Lovely weather today, here in Denmark. The apple trees are starting to wake from their winter slumber, and the 83 year old hawthorn bushes we cut down to 4 inches in February are starting to sprout again and will hopefully regain some of the density of years past.
