Even a vintage watch collector buys a contemporary watch from time to time, especially when it is a well made re-issue. This is an Oris Divers Sixty-Five modeled after the tiny 1965 diver's watch (then with similar expressive digits on a black dial). The movement is Oris' cal. 733, a variant of the Sellita cal. SW200-1, a clone of the ETA cal. 2824-2. I love the dial design and this color combination, could do without the date, though. The watch comes on a comfortable soft rubber strap, but I found a perfectly matching G10 – and a shirt. Enjoy, Mick
1956 Tissot Futura, cal. 23.3R-21 As the ad proclaimed: "The newest thinner sleeker automatic with the invisible crown...."
Speedy Wednesday Changed to a recent favorite. Had to let go of a watch dear to me (Breitling SuperOcean Heritage Chrono) but couldn't pass on the opportunity of getting this on a bracelet! Picture taken almost exactly 12 hours after the first!
Meylan on a hand crafted, made in Sweden strap! I have never been a strap guy, but starting slowly appreciate them
Nice watch and nice photos as usual. I've had my eye on this watch, particularly the blue dial version.
Double dogging it today...and attempting to do the "Have you driven a Ford lately?" pic from yesterday by @Jones in LA...
A new mil-spec arrival. Benrus Type II, this one issued to the U.S. Military in the mid-70's. Powered by a Benrus GS1D2 movement (modified ETA2620). Quite the mission-capable dive watch in its day.
