This one has been on my hit list for a while, but something vintage always pushed it aside...until now. Mrs. Darlinboy's comment when it arrived..."So I can have the SubC now?"

I do love blue dials. Most any blue will work for me. :)

Today I mounted my Heuer Monaco ref. 740.303G on a new very dark blue strap – too dark for a blue dial, which nicely corresponds to the dark sub dials.

The movement is a hand-wound Valjoux cal. 7740 ticking with 28,800 bph.

I'm glad that I found a matching shirt, too.

    Enjoy,

    Mick

A '40s (?) Glycine with 156 movement in its 14kt rose gold case on a rooster strap. Freshly back from the watchmaker with a new crystal and a rehab'ed movement. The original glass crystal appeared as if it'd been used as a chewy toy by a Doberman Pinscher on amphetamines.

Realized I never posted pictures of the 168.010 on the new embossed Croc. I'm thinking it looks right.

This unexpectedly turned out more alluring than I thought. Just a tad big on my wrist though

With all the talk about Rolexes in "the pretentious thread" yesterday I just had to wear this today. Do I feel like I am above others? Well - I always do...

I just wish I had not changed it from the diamond dial that was mounted when I bought it.

Nothing looks more at place on a middleaged, balding and grey persona, with a mid-body challenge, than some serious bling. ;)

Love the numeral font design on my 168.005, particularly the 4's.
