No - these pocket watches had their own fully fleshed caliber. 😀
Wow! I have never seen such a movement. The rose gold plated cocks/bridges/plates are interesting too. Thanks for the movement shot.

It's been a while since I've worn my waffled Tudor! Is that a sign that I should start thinking about letting it go?

Blue skies on Speedy Tuesday 👍

This was my first really nice watch, which I bought to mark my deployment to Afghanistan in 2013. Mulled over a number of varieties of Speedmasters, including the "ordinary" Pro and some vintage models, but in the end this one won out. Today I'm glad I didn't go with the Pro, as it's a version I think I'd rather own in an older reference.

Fresh back from Omega, and rocking a new Green Kevlar strap for Speedy Tuesday.

I have so often wanted to pull the trigger on one of these... But I'm still unsure what I feel about them! 😵‍💫

I'm with you.

I went looking for one in the sub £1,000 bracket - then chucked in an Omega service, and a new strap... and saw the price slowly creep up.

But having done a lot of due diligence, I didn't feel comfortable owning a series 1 X-33 out of warranty... so the service option (with 24 months WW warranty), feels like good value.

It wears really nicely, the kevlar is going to take some bedding in, and I know this is the series 2 strap, but I like it a lot more than the series 1 with the double rib.

The prices seem to have settled down now, and some sellers are trying to push the price back towards £2k - but with Skywalkers coming up used for £2,500 that's a big ask.
