I love participating in #SpeedyTuesday. It just wasn't the same day of the week with my SMPO.

Donkey Kong I for me...

Happy days!! My aunt lives in Sydney, in 1981 when I was about 10 she visited us in the UK. She had flown in via Honk Kong and picked up Nintendo Helmet as a present for me. I can picture myself in the school playground surrounded by my friends and everybody else too as it was the first one anybody in my village had ever seen, at that early stage of gaming they were not yet available for sale in Europe. Fond memories 😀

Donkey Kong!!! 👍

Good story @cristos71. 😎

You've inspired me to go back in time a little further...1976 or 1977 if I'm not mistaken...so I busted out my Mattel Electronics Auto Race...still works! 👍

Plan on converting this one back to a 3572.50 soon. Not sure yet on buying a donor watch....a real one just out of question given how high prices are for an Apollo 11 35th. Never understood why is Gemini 4 is much less expensive with almost half as many made. Very much prefer the blue.

Just back from my watchmaker, and I got the kind of surprise a purist vintage collector usually doesn't want: A free, surprise polish 😲 🤦

... only asked him to replace the crystal... I didn't have the heart to get upset, because I know he was doing it as a "favor". He's done over a dozen watches for me before, and I have never asked for polish, and I thought he knew.😗

To be honest, it does look pretty nice, but I still prefer the original wear.🤔

Now, I guess I need to start doing a lot of yardwork with this one on 😁!

Thanks for the 321 Speedy, kid!

Apologies to those around the world not familiar with the 1970’s US TV commercial:

Looking at that last picture in your post made me remember the Russian version we had around here before '89. Anyone knows Pagadi and Zaiet? 😀
