I had seen that post before and others in which the "other" watch that David Scott wore on the moon after the crystal "popped off" his Speedie, during EVA-2 I think it was, was contemplated. There is even transcript evidence where he stated to Houston that he was wearing his Waltham that I read somewhere. It was proffered by many that it was either the model I just obtained or one similar to the one that
@bristnj posted above saying Hi! Chuck had written more about it here:
http://www.chronomaddox.com/moonmovement.html
However, between 2011-2014, after Chuck unfortunately passed, it appears that Scott recognized that he made a mistake when he said he was wearing a Waltham, as well as the way that he remembered the watch for years after when he allegedly always stated that he had a Waltham with him. The watch he did have went right to a safety deposit box after he returned, not to be looked at again until sometime btw 2011-2014. The "other" Moonwatch was not a Waltham as it turns out, but rather this Bulova Chronograph A (notice the large crown and flat pushers that would, presumably, be easier to operate with a space glove on!):
If a Rodania Geometer is a long lost sibling of a Speedie Broad Arrow, surely this is a long lost sibling of a moonwatch!
To not be accused of plagiarism, I must credit this information to collector Larry McGlynn who purchased the Bulova timer that was also onboard from Scott at auction in 2011, later writing about it. Through his personal connection with Scott, it seems he had Scott confirm the true identity of the "other" moonwatch by retrieving it from the safe deposit box to photograph and put the myth to rest once and for all.
