It's been the JLC Master Compressor Memovox the last couple of days... Timing the heater - takes a while to get hot enough to soften the shellac... 1/2 of 1/100th of a mm should do it... Cheers, Al
Very interesting, excellent photos of the minutiae that is involved in watchmaking. Question, does the shellac harden after cooling or does it require you to apply new?
It will harden again when it cools. You just have to be careful not to heat it too high or too long and it's all good. Cheers, Al
