Had to go pick Daughter up in BKk today so was thinking which one for the road and decided to go with rainbow

That vintage Zenith is beautiful. The Rainbow is nice as well but the old one is something else. Is the chrono second hand original to this model?

Thanks, the chrono seems to have come from a386 and not original to this a277, this model has 2 variants, one of which has white paddle hand (similar to what it has now but in white) the other variant (which actually is what the above watch should be) has a generic looking silver hand. You can see many great examples in the a277 thread found in this zenith forum.

Dark and dismal Scotland this morning, thankfully brightened with a new arrival courtesy of @Modest_Proposal
Maybe one day the sun will shine again for a decent wrist shot 🤔

I know the model (but not with this hand - I suspected it to be A386'ish). This one has aged very nicely!!

I am not normally superstitious but think of this as my lucky watch. 18ct gold from 1967 the Eternamatic 3000 was the slimmest automatic watch with a date in the world when first introduced in 1962.
