I had a '72! My first major purchase... and I was 17... I was supposed to buy a 'practical' car, but just like with watches...馃槜

Lots of memories with this one. Here's the only photo of it I can find:
Was that an option leaning over the car 馃榾

Messing around with "hand fan" arrangements as seen with my avatar, but this time trying to incorporate the challenging nonadjustable 24 hour sub-hand (or at least indirectly adjustable 馃槣)

These take a little planning...

I sorta like this how this one turned out the best.

OK, back to work..

Mr Dog - Part of the reason I loved this watch was all of these little details, but I was wondering (apologies for dumb question) - are Pi's helpful in any way for flying a plane?
I had to utilize the Google machine. Yes...Pi is useful (essential) regarding navigation...luckily, various electronic computers do the handling of Pi.

I don't understand the advertising here... engineers yes, mathematicians yes, but the Navitimer is for pilots. The Chronomat is for engineers, accountants, etc... maybe even steely-eyed missile men... yes, nerds. But so much cooler than the slide rules we used to carry in our plastic-protected shirt pockets!

Here are some good links:

The minute and hour registers are out of line - sheesh. You can do better than that. 馃憥

Nope. She was 'after-market' ::rimshot::馃槈

She was a sweet girl, but the car turned out to be much more accommodating to my 18 y.o. desires 馃榿

1966 Cal 561 A much loved watch just returned today after a full service by my trusted Watchmaker.
Beutifully clean and sober. Much to love there!
