I picked this one up a few months ago but had hardly worn it before it went in to see my watch doctor. It had a gouged crystal and a scuffed bezel together with a pretty dried up movement and was desperate for some love.
It has just recently come back to me after a service and some light cosmetics and I must say since then it has really been growing on me. 😀
It´s a ref 7414 with a cal 30CH, invoiced in June 1964 to the Swiss market. The date and details I received for free and within 24 hours from the very friendly Longines vintage department, my thanks and compliments to them.
😁Well, after a bit of an extended break, where I mostly wasn't wearing a watch 🙁 due to completely remodelling and fitting out my spare room over the past six weeks, I thought I better post something! Me and an old favourite in front of the first fire of the year, winter has definitely arrived here in the UK this week!
plus evidence of my efforts
in case anyone is wondering, that is an early 1970's Metamec mantle clock (total rubbish but it looks the part on the 1930's desk and it belonged to my grandmother).
Good to be back 👍... Though my watch fund is sadly depleated 🙁
First time on the wrist. 18K UG Tri-Compax cal481.
Have not been able to set dates and moon phase yet.
