For what these are selling for, if you can find one, you could buy all 4 of your Constellations - and have money left over for a vacation. The dial is done the old fashion way - read about the antique machine here: http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/american-vintage-watch-forum/31792.htm
Your joking right?! What kind of a vacation? I'm not sure I could give up my connies (though not rare by any means..) to have only one watch unless it was a Connie Deluxe/Centenary...but then I risk a chance of only wearing it for special occasions..which wouldn't really suit its purpose! It's a tough call...
Wearing my JLC Master Compressor Memovox this morning while working on an Aqua Terra with a Cal. 2500B co-axial escapement - here in the checking fixture and ready to oil under the microscope: And oiling at 50X magnification - 30 points to oil on this "oil free" escapement: Cheers, Al
No joke. If they were cheap everyone would have one. You'll get a kick out of this - it isn't even the best timekeeper I own - by far. (but I didn't buy it for it's accuracy)
Yes. When I got this It was almost New Old stock condition..It doesn't get enough wrist time though..
This is really a weekend watch, it is far too big for daily wear but I just got it back from servicing and I want to find out accurate it is, and it looks to be keeping pretty good time...
