My oldest (circa 1917) wristwatch on my newest (today) strap. The star inside the crown is a nice detail. I have ordered an extract on this one. Will be interested to see what, if anything, comes back.
Do you wear it over your 'flight suit'? Might also come in handy for those cold winter days in Cincy, when you gotta check the time, and you must wear the heavy parka !
@dougiedude...No...I haven't worn a flight suit since leaving active duty Navy in 1992. Well, I take that back...sometimes I wear my old Navy flight suit on Halloween and play "Nasal Radiator"...so maybe this Halloween I'll give the Omega replica NASA strap 'the old college try' on the outside of the flight suit...this being my first Halloween with Speedy Gonzales and all. Regarding the heavy parka...yeah, winter is coming...I might give the Omega replica NASA strap 'the old college try' regarding the heavy parka this winter...BUT WAIT...I don't own a heavy parka...I usually wear either my Navy issue G-1 leather flight jacket or Navy issue CWU-36/P NOMEX flight jacket...so I'll do 'the old college try' on those.
@jose75... F A B U L O U S case lines...how do you maintain those? I mean, one little nick/ding and there goes the case line! You have one of those handy-dandy NERF case protectors or something?
@dougiedude...I changed my mind...THIS winter I'm going to splurge and buy a heavy parka...a 'METALLICA' heavy parka...that will be cool and even cooler with Speedy Gonzales strapped to the outside sleeve on the Omega replica NASA strap. :D
New arrival since last night. Late 1930s/early 40s Lemania 15TL (aka Omega 33.3) chronograph. Need to get the lume sorted on the hands. (Fortunately that was the only modification done when the previous owner had it serviced.) And the sun is shining on this early autumn morning ! HAGDE!
After seeing some new images this week I tried to go all Speedmaster on the inside of the wrist a'la Gene Cernan but I think only he is bad a$$ enough to pull it off. This lasted about 2 minutes.
