1685, Thank you, you are correct, red date is rare. I believe mine is a transition, its' serial dates it to the last quarter of 1960, plus it has the 10 sided screw on back and no hatches on the crowns, and a Felsa movement. Touch-up

Too bad it doesn't fit as it looks like a nice Hamilton. Is that a size 12s? It looks like the strap is made for a 16 or bigger. I'd like to try a strap like that someday.
