Going to an Omega new releases "trunk showing" at the Oakbrook, Illinois boutique tonight where I look forward to seeing old WIS friends.

Have decided to wear these, since they're my newest arrivals. One on each wrist, but for the purposes of this post...am "Hayeking" it!
YaY!

Today I got my Mortima back together after servicing it.

It's a French watch made in the 1960s or so, fitted with a Cattin CLD60 (Roskopf pin lever) movement.

I'd rather be wearing this than a System51 😉

On the topic of what I would prefer to wear, rather than a Swatch or a system 51 Tissot, today I decided to wear my 60-year old "HORMILTON". Pin lever, dial marked 21 (as in implying 21-jewels. There are 2 jewels), and a whole bunch of other stuff that's not true! Yes, "HORMILTON"! These were often fobbed off in shopping centre parking lots in the 1950s by people who "needed a Greyhound ticket to get to

wherever", and needed to sell this "valuable" watch. If you persisted, you could buy them for 1/10 of what the vendor was asking! And, yes! These were fake Hamiltons! This one needs a centre pinion, so there's no seconds hand, but it runs well, and is remarkably accurate.

You inspired me to switch to my Hormilton!
This watch always makes me laugh every time I wear it!
Hormilton Electra 25 St Street.
Hormilton because it looks like Hamilton. Electra to cash in on the Electric watches Hamilton was known for. 25 because that implies a higher jewel count than the 1 one jewel in this nonelectric movement.
St Street because well I don't know why that is there. Is it a contraction for Saint Street or Street Street? I do like the winding stem at 4. And the jet because it is a watch for the Jet Set! The grooves on the case back that make it look like a screw in back when it is really a snap back finish the details.
