路This evening I'm wearing my oldest wrist watch from the 1930ties:
This is a Minerva ref. 362 single button chronograph with a gorgeous multi-colored enamel dial. In fact, the small minutes counter on the right side refers to the appropriate tachymeter scale by the red or blue color.
The round case with attached lugs measures 45.5 mm.
The movement, a Minerva cal. 13-29CH, allows us views into the innermost planes of the mechanism showing more wheels, concentric and eccentric, than usual:
I conclude with a certainly historically incorrect but handsome configuration 馃槈:

I am tempted to put the DON tachy back on, but I don't have any poker chips handy. 馃檮
This outing was a blast. Skid pad, kick plate, launch mode was amazing, and lots of track time. Best of all, one of the instuctors took my 15 year old son through all the stations, and a few hot laps too. He's still grinning.
And guess what watch my driving coach was wearing?

路Going for a full retro ride today. Both are something that looks old but they are not.
This frame was ordered by me from Signore Alberto Masi in 2010. I made the trip to his work shop under the Vigorelli velodrome in Milano and met him. It is something special in custom ordering a frame from a legend. It is an overall nice frame but what sets it apart are the chainstays. Then I built it with a 1993-4 Record 8V group as it is the last of the good looking ones. For those interested in such things the whole story can be found here:
