It seems there are not many slide rule lovers around on this forum. However I like them... they were my first love in vintage watches.
And by the way.... this was an astronaut's watch too: Scott Carpenter!

Going for a bike ride today. It is the fourth time in as many days - in an attempt to get back into actually using the bikes and to get into shape. No longer being the great white whale and try becoming the great tanned male instead.

Wearing this but maybe not that shirt... Even if getting into lycra is not a pleasant sight it has to be done.

Second weapon of choice. I built this old Merckx MX Leader some years ago to be a credit card tourer and its low gears come in handy now when really needing them.

... What amazes me about these watches is how RED the red can be after 70+ years. I think it's unicorn blood.

Sorry, but unicorn blood is a silvery blue color. 🙄

It's more likely a prosaic cadmium red.
