I periodically like to bust out (and take pics of) the b&p for my beloved 1986 Seiko 6309-7049…purchased new on 09OCT87 at the NAS Whiting Field Navy ‘Anchor Clanker’ Exchange during primary/intermediate pilot training at VT-2…I consider my beloved 6309 to be my first ‘pilot watch’ and it will most likely be in the Smithsonian at some point down the road…🤪…

For the record, I’m currently wearing my beloved 1986 Seiko 6309-7049 (on a Rothco protective band) to record cycling seat time…

Was in Wien yesterday and had a couple of hours to kill before heading back home so I decided to drop by in Omega boutique. I was wearing my -67(ish) Seamaster Cosmic /w cal. 601 and I thought I'll go and ask if they would have a STZ010566 buckle to replace the generic buckle it has (I mean I was curious to take a look at the modern lineup as well...😅).

Full compliments to the staff. They were very, very nice and accommodating. And I think at least a bit intrigued of my old Cosmic that I doubt they had seen live before. In the end the buckle felt still too modern, got it anyway, and swapped it to a SM Dynamic 2 this morning. Perfect fit if you ask me!
