··Home For Wayward Watches
Picked up a 1931 Hamilton 21-jewel 992E in its Wadsworth No. 2 bar-over-crown case a couple years back in a local landmark gas station turned curiosity shop. Was a “real deal” for the right price. Filthy, it needed service plus a new crown, for someone had deliberately obscured the “Hamilton Railroad” marking with concentric rings off the crown’s top by sanding it off.
I had the watch serviced last year, but the watch maker forgot to install the replacement crown I had provided. So, I just got the crown installed and am putting the watch into service. Now the watch is all better.

·Haven't posted in a while since I got immersed in a new project: bought a new-old fun car for the weekend:
It's at the mechanic right now for some general maintenance and new tires, headlights, steering wheel and exhaust, and then it will go on long road trip around the Gulf of Mexico:
