Found a black swallowtail caterpillar on some parsley a couple weeks ago and took a photo. Found the “finished product” this morning. Had to put it high up on a vine for until it was ready to fly in order to keep one of our kittens from playing with it.
Wow what an amazing Butterfly or is it classed as a Moth, spectacular looking beastie!

Seemed serendipitous to find the butterfly this morning. I wondered if it had been the caterpillar I brought in the house to show Mrs. BMc and to photograph.
