·Landed after four days in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Weather okay. Rain all the way to our site, but fair to good for the time there. Except for a brief but startling thunder storm on Thursday afternoon. Back home, I have parked the sacrificial Seiko, and donned my 23 jewel Gruen automatic from the late 1950s, after Gruen stopped manufacturing their own movements. This one has a German-made Durowe movement in it. The case is gold shell over stainless. Decades ago, I offered it for sale. Thankfully nobody bit.
