·The only issue I have with this watch is the crown is small making winding and setting the date/time “time consuming”. Other than that I’ve always liked it. Picked it up from a dude who had a veritable cornucopia of Rolex and other higher end watches. His wife’s family owned an exclusive nursing home, he bought watches like I buy toilet paper.
I got a little overwhelmed looking at his collection. I picked up a few from him including a nice Seiko KS. He had a vintage GS I damn near begged for but he wouldn’t let that one go.
Anyway part of the fun of watch collecting is the people you meet. I’ve met people who carry around 100k plus in watches like it’s nothing, and I sold a guy his first vintage watch (Seamaster) and I recall him holding it like it was the Mona Lisa. Life’s a funny old dog.

The small crowns on many vintage Seiko’s can similarly be a real PITA to open and set as well. There must be some reason or rationale why they made the crowns so tiny? Perhaps simply asthetics?
