Sometime ago, I ran into a pair of 1040 bracelets that couldn’t be refused, one for my old 168.017, the other became a spare.
So I thought why don’t I get another 168.xxx ?

Here it is, only it shows better character with straps.
… Yeah! C-cases showing up unexpectedly quite often. 😁

I know it's kinda redundant with all of my 3861s, and definitely very thick, but I really like the look of it.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I really love my 166.010, but I sometimes wonder whether I’m being too extravagant when I can get a similar Seiko for a fifth of the cost.

One of the reasons I’ve been so enamored with vintage Seiko’s lately!

The order of Cincinnatus, can’t be in it if you don’t have the watch. Actually I’m not in it but read about it. Gave me more reason to like the watch.

I had similar thoughts and I came to the conclusion I could be quite happy if I collected only seikos. They make enough variety and are quite the hardy watch. Of course I didn’t stick to seikos and I dropped (for me) stupid money on watches but I did at least ponder it.
