·Today, I had a hankering for a bumper automatic. In particular, one with the date. Only one I have that measures up is my early 1950s Omega, date at 6:00, waffle dial with crosshairs. This one. I inherited this one in pieces where it had langoured in a tin can for over 50 years. I stumbled on the dial, first, then the rest of the movement. But no case. @Tritium from Madrid had a spare case. A few emails and the deal was done. This one is the result, and a favourite of mine.
