Absolutely thrilled and ready for the weekend 🥰

I’ve just picked up my Omega Marine CK 679 after a full service and repair. The watch dates back to 1938 and is considered the world’s first diving watch 🤿

Have a great weekend out there 🥰🌞😎

Can you share what service performed. Assuming no water testing….

do I get a prize if I complain about your bezel?.......

no ice today
@Paedipod ,

No prize, but you are correct! The watch came to me just as you see it. Bezel mis-aligned with the 12:00.

Wrapping a long busy week of work. They seem to get longer and busier. A survivalist tool watch was the right companion.

On the left trusty old Seamaster 2254.50

On the right Citizen BM 8108-03E

I love this watch, sand blasted and with Sapphire crystal. I managed to steal it away from mrs hen last night. I have to give her the Timex.

Sunburst dial yet there’s not too much of it in the air today.

One of the most interesting Omega watch case designs - my 165.003

“I Dug Up A Diamond” that song familiar to you?

Bought this SRP775 as part of a bundle a few years ago. Due to its massive 45mm size and the gold hardware, it has been sitting in the drawer until it caught my eye recently. I cleaned up the gunk and put on a temporary rubber band until my US GL-831 arrives. I still think it's too big for my 6 7/8" wrist, but I like it.

That looks great on your wrist, not too big at all.

Brought this old girl out today… and having an internal debate with myself about possibly refinishing the dial. I need to get the correct crown and send it for a service, so now would be an appropriate time if I’m going to do it. Thoughts?

I'd definitely get it serviced. As for the crown, I like later ones that are easier to use, my 14381 came with a later Omega crown. At first, I wanted to replace that crown with the correct one. At the time I had a 168.005, that had the correct crown. After wearing the 14381 for a few months, I noticed I wasn't wearing my other one that much anymore, and realized that I had come to appreciate the usability of the later crown over the originality of the earlier crown.

Edit: I'm a big dummy who made my original comment about not refinishing the dial while looking at the forum on my phone.

Since it looks like it has already been refinished once, go for it. You won't be hurting the value of the watch or its originality.
