This is my current daily. Probably will be for a while until I can justify the spend on a “proper” Speedy.

Technos Kaiser Tigon, a rather unusual name for an unusual vintage watch from the 1970s with an octagonal case, faceted crystal and a 3D style dial ("lava" gradient colour scheme).

Kind regards,

1967 Bulova Snorkel 666 Feet (203MM static) 'J' Model CASE Ref.# 608

powered by the Bulova IN HOUSE Caliber 11 ALACD automatic movement with KIF shock protection.

one year production run only.

A model from their 1960's line with IN-HOUSE mvmnts. for the recreational divers in the then booming sport of Snorkeling / Skin diving and Scuba. Though not a professional divers watch Bulova went the extra mile, it's watch case is a single crown compressor case design with screw down case back for increased water resistance UNLIKE the numerous other brands whose single crown compressor cases had a snap-on case back..

This Bulova watch case was made by La Centrale Boîtes (CB) also known as Central Watch Case Co. who also made the watch cases used for the actual caliber 321 - OMEGA Speedmaster Professional MOON WATCHES ref.# 105.012 and early version ref.# 145.012.

On Bulova in house movements - THEY WERE developed, designed, produced /manufactured by Bulova in Switzerland, part of Bulova’s effort to produce high-quality, proprietary automatic calibers during the 1960s. Bulova did not outsource these MOVEMENTS to third-party manufacturers like ETA or FHF.

I’m not afraid to admit this is the cheap acoustic I’ve been shaking the cobwebs out of. I sit in with a couple guys who sing CSN it’s so marvelous to hear but I lack the range and vocal sophistication they do.
I’m thinking of passing on a watch purchase and picking up an ovation or one of the numerous well made acoustic six strings.

I usually play suite Judy blue eyes on bass it has an excellent bass run to open it but with three acoustics you can actually fill the air with sound to the point a bass isn’t needed.

Tonight we finished John Barley Corn must die. Lots of fun. I like playing with talented people who just let you roll as you are.
