Back to a favourite F300 Omega tuning fork model. A presentation watch to the original owner (deceased in 2012), in 1977. This one was not running when offered for sale, and nobody bought it (little wonder). Family appeared to not be eager to have it serviced. So I made a token offer which the family accepted. Circuit and tuning fork seemed good. Index and pawl jewels good. I stripped it, and discovered a movement that was badly stuck together with stale oil. I cleaned it, re-phased it, new cell, and found a new crystal for it. Paid a LOT more for the crystal than I did for the watch! I love it!
