·I finally moved on from my much-loathed Seiko SNK803K2. Remarkably, it sold on Reddit in one day for 95% of the cost I paid for it new.
This new SRPJ81 fixes essentially all the things I didn't like about the old one: steel bracelet, smaller case diameter, more sensible handset, hacking, hand winding, prominent (applied) Arabic markers for hours rather than minutes.
Despite the Jomashop price of $240 being basically double the price of previous generations of these watches, it's really the only one that ticked all my boxes for a mechanical beater for work.
