Back from our 4-day trailer trip to the Rockies. My quartz Wittnauer survived the trip, and gave yeoman service. Time for a change. I went to my vault, and when the door opened, there was a chorus of humming from my 24 Accutrons. I didn’t choose one of them. I wanted a watch that makes ME hum! So I chose my 70-year old Omega Seamaster date at 6, waffle texture dial with crosshatch. Movement is a 17-jewel calibre 355 bumper automatic. Watch is totally original except for the replacement case, as I acquired the watch in pieces, and there was no case. As it happens, the date was set for the second, so easy to reset to 4.

That's an awfully nice "basket case"!
Good Job!
