The watch around here that nets the comments and compliments from "the Great Un-Watched."

Go figure.

She may have been cheap and nasty. She may not be the most accurate timekeeper. She may be all tarted up with a non-original dial redo, but it's Shameless Hussy Monday around here, for hussies need love too. Somewhere under the smart black strap, skanky cloths, incorrect crown, and all the cosmetics and cheap perfume there's a good-hearted '59 Seamaster with 520 movement.
The hands on that watch make it nice for one. As I read your stanza this song was forced into my head. Sorry I know it’s not the music thread but now I’m stuck gotta post it. I’ll add my watch to make it acceptable

Very similar to the caliber in my watch! 😀

All same! Yup! German made Durowe movement. During the 1950s, Durowe was working on a battery powered movement. Timex found out about the Durowe movement, and used it in their (then) newly introduced battery powered watch. This watch was introduced circa 1961, and in a chrome case with faux leather strap, it sold for $29.95. Durowe was eventually acquired by the Swiss firm SSIH.

This KonTiki has been on the wrist for a few weeks now. Lovely, low-angle evening lighting makes this watch come alive.
