It takes a while to mow this grass...I've been at it since noon. But it's done now!

Knew I’d be getting a lot of steps in today so wearing the only health monitor I own. Wife wanted me to get an Apple Watch for the step tracking, O2 sensing, etc, etc. I finally caved and “let” her buy me this for my birthday a few years ago. Sequent Electron 2.2 LE NASA

Starting the day

Lume

Afternoon around 14500 steps

How do you like it? I thought about getting one of these for awhile but never pulled the trigger.

If i wear it enough it does everything its supposed to including generate enough electricity to keep it pretty well charged. I enjoyed wearing it with the family at Disney World a few months ago where every day was a long hike through theme parks.

It came with a recycled ocean plastic strap that was a little stiff for my liking. I swapped that out for one of their rubber straps which is more comfortable if you’re really using it for exercise and getting hot and sweaty.

If i wear it daily but not super active while wearing it (desk diving, etc.) then the battery does run down and it needs to be recharged with the plug in charger after a few weeks. But when it’s in the watch box it goes into hibernation mode after 24 hours and the battery lasts many months.

Basically I just pull it out when I know I’m going to have a physically busy day and it’s fun to wear.

Thanks! I might take another look. I sometimes get serious about counting calories for training but I just haven't cared for other fitness trackers.

Yeah I can’t seem to get into tracking fitness data by itself but if it’s with a fun watch then it’s a little more interesting to check heart rate and watch steps.

I showed my 60 year old Tissot PR 516 a day or two ago. It wasn’t until I saw it enlarged that I saw there were there were some “floaters” behind the crystal. So I attended to that, today, and polished the crystal. Looks better, I think. I hadn’t worn this watch for a long time, and I’d forgotten how remarkable a performer that it is. The Tissot bracelet is dammed uncomfortable, however. It pinched my wrist yesterday when I put the watch on! But it is right for the watch.

Someone in my family had the “brilliant” idea of going Lake bathing in the morning. Damn it was cold and damn I am pale 😀

So nice to see and feel the sun after several weeks of recurrent rain and snow in southern ME. In the woods with Boone and the G4 on the 3861 bracelet and new Soturi strap on the other watch.
