·A sacrificial watch today. We’re preparing for a train show this coming week end, and I have a lot of “scut” work to do. Organizing our display materials, last minute checks to be certain we have everything we need, and loading my truck. So I have resurrected this artifact from my collection. Dial name BIRKS refers to the Canadian firm Henry Birks & Sons Jewellers, and it is likely about 50 years old. Equipped with (I suspect) an ETA movement of some description. I seldom wear it, other than on days like this, even though the style appeals to me.
