Bought a new strap for my omega. Thinking about re-dying it black and changing the buckle to a clasp or an omega buckle. Thoughts?

So it’s been nearly a decade since I last posted on WRUW. No particular reason, just got busy with work, family, etc.. This came into my collection a few months ago and I figured it was a good one to jump back in with. This might be my favorite.

Wearing two today. My first Omega which I have owned for about 20 years. It is from circa 1951. Also, my Rolex Air-King Oyster date which I won in a sales contest in 1970. So, one owner, 55 years, mildly modified by replacing the original steel bezel with a NOS genuine Rolex 14-karat gold bezel.
