Some will have seen this Omega De Ville F300 chronometer, before. But that was with the broken crystal. I ordered a new one, and Lo and behold, he had one! So this is what it looks like today. Putting 2 and 2 together, the original owner started with his employer in 1952. 73 years ago. He’s probably no longer with us. His heirs didn’t want the watch, and I did! I see an obituary for someone with the same name who passed away in 2008. So he likely wore the watch for 31 years.

Possibly the most Invocta Pulsar I have ever seen. Damn near NOS with a tiny chip at the corner of the crystal. Needed a beater. Quiet auction. $39.50 well spent. No shame. Quick set date, manual set day. My thumb still hurts.

I have so fallen in love with tv dials of late. Yacht club and restoring a ‘74 Seiko. Love it.
