It has been awhile since my last post, the arrival of my 3rd generation Seamaster Pro's new Artem sailcloth strap seemed the right occasion!

Have a great day ΩF !!

I don’t know but I been told it’s hard to run with the weight of gold
Other hand I heard it said it’s just as hard with the weight of lead

Town watch choice for today.

In the same spot a photograph was taken of the Interurban trundling through town in 1948.

The synchronize-your-watches scene from North Sea Hijack where Roger Moore wears Golden Tuna 7549-7009 in its 1980 movie debut, one year prior to For Your Eyes Only.
A very British movie where the Tuna's day wheel is clearly set to French...or Italian. ::facepalm1::

The bad guy, Anthony Perkins, wears this evil chronograph.

Spoiler alert: Roger Moore and Tuna are triumphant!

The entire movie is on Youtube in case someone's bored. Just look up North Sea Hijack. YaY!

Todays offering to the collective Watch WIS.
An eterna-matic Kontiki that saw serious IDF service from 1968 onwards.

Newby here from Canada. I've recently caught the bug of collecting. I got my first Omega handed down to me. It's a 1961 Basic, then recently I've bought a 1950 Seamaster Bumper with a beautiful Tropical Patina dial. It was after this watch that I realized I was hooked, and last week bought another that I'll wait to introduce you to until I get it. 😀
