··Sunburst dial fanI rarely wear this Cyma which I bought in 2018 in a contested auction on eBay the day after my previous terrier died. I sometimes consider it a memorial watch.
It was described as NOS and I put in a bid. I had planned to meet friends for a dog walk and went without Mick. I discovered later that I’d won the auction.
In researching Cyma, about which I knew very little, I was, and still am, surprised that Wallis Simpson bought one as a 58th birthday present for her husband in 1952.
