It's fun to be in a place where so many people wear watches. Lots of Seikos, but also spotted a Frank Muller on a young guy, a Panerai on an old guy, a S&G White dial Daytona on a young woman, and an Omega Polaris on a young guy on the subway. I think I freaked out a guy at breakfast who had a white dial Explorer II when I tried to tell him he had a nice watch. Since then, I've tried to be more discrete in my admiration from afar.
There's probably a good sociology experiment for how to determine the stability and advancement of a society based on whether or not the people wear watches.
