Yes...203,xxx. Gilded movement with shock protection and micro adjustment of the balance.

I have seen comments of these newly built SM300 being "without soul"...

I do not agree.

Strap choice is a modern copy of the trusted old Tropic. Wish they would make the curved end version but this will do for the time being.

I have to admit that I am not well versed in these...Case model "A". Can you enlighten me?

This website explains all the different variants (if you speak German). The guy that maintains the site also tries to keep a record of the known existing serial numbers. Case model "A" is the earlier (and more rare) variant.

I haven't worn this one for a few months but as it had stopped on the 23rd, I thought it suitable to wear to my Dad's retirement party (only 4 days out)
