- Ca. 1971 Mathey-Tissot “Mergulhador” Skin Diver - Ref. 1635 - powered by a “Ultra High Frequency” (UHF) Mathey-Tissot signed ETA 2784 automatic movement. (f ~ 28,800 A/h vs. 21,600 A/h) - At 38mm, reference 1635 came with various iridescent dials including turquoise, red and orange. Mergulhador means “scuba diver” in Portuguese.
- Ca. 1975 Mathey-Tissot Skin Diver - Ref. 1631 - powered by a “Ultra High Frequency” (UHF) Mathey-Tissot signed ETA 2784 automatic movement. (f ~ 28,800 A/h vs. 21,600 A/h). At 37mm, reference 1631 came with various iridescent dials including blue, red and green, as well as being available in traditional black. There were identical male and female (Ref. 1633) versions available.
Both the Ref. 1631 and Ref. 1635 are exceptionally difficult to find, especially in nice condition, but a gem of a watch if you do!
