·After having watched a 60-minute video on the Canadian Pacific/Kansas City (CPKC) steam locomotive # 2816 currently travelling from Calgary to Mexico City, I felt inclined to wear a pocket watch. So yesterday (Thursday) and today, I’ve been wearing my Keystone Howard series 11, 16-size, 21-jewel, lever set pocket watch on one of my @DaveK mystery braid lanyards. Rescued from a fate worse than death, I bought it from a fellow who didn’t want it to end up going to his scofflaw grandson! Not the most sought after Keystone Howard model, this one was patterned after a New York Standard (cheap) model, upgraded to railroad standard. Keystone Howard owned NYS. This is one of my favourite dials. One of three today. My Rolex Date-Just, Omega Speedmaster 345.0808 are the other two.

·After having my Speedmaster Back from service the hour and running seconds hand kept getting caught in one another around the same time each day. So back to the watchmaker it went. After a bit of a wait, another three weeks, I was told the issue was fixed and I could come pick it up. Happily, it’s back on my wrist and probably will be for some time. 😀
