Might be the last time I wear this for awhile... I think the mainspring failed when I wound it up this morning... 🙁

Can't give this a "like", because it is kind of a sad moment ... but wanted to say I love the looks of your watch, and am hoping that it is an easy (and quick!) fix. Hopefully, an Omega service center (or independent watchmaker) near you can take care of it, so that it gets back into WRUW soon!

Why do you think the mainspring has gone ?

There was no resistance where there should have been when winding it. After about 30 turns of the crown, I just feel/hear what sounds like metal slipping. It ran and kept good time, but the power reserve seemed to run out after about 12 hours. Does that sound like a mainspring or another issue to people more knowledgeable than me?

On the plus side, at least I have another broad arrow speedy to fill the void for now

A more than adequate stand-in! Thanks for letting me know about the reference. The white-and-blue looks really interesting on a Speedmaster.

On another note: wishing everyone a great week-end! Mine started really well with a visit to my watchmaker, who had finished working on this new-to-me Eterna-Matic Centenaire - it's not going to leave my wrist the next days, I think 😀
