My first "big" watch purchase in 1992 when I was working in the Scuba Industry. After years of daily use and many dives, it was put in storage because I thought it needed a new battery. Little did I know then that it would take me 12 years before I would get the suitcase out of attic. Turns out it need a complete overhaul to get it back up and running. I have probably spent more money on it than it cost to buy it 32 years ago. It still gives me a lot of pleasure.

Occurred to me last night as I was polishing scratches out of my 1675 crystal that I should probably not be wearing it whilst gardening…
