I've had this jacket since high school. I graduated high school in 1975. It's now relegated to lawn chores.
Surprising how long clothing and watches can last with minimal care...

Well...if you DO decide to get one save yourself 85 bucks by ordering it with the Tropic strap. This dawned on me a bit too late but I paid and extra 200 for the BoR. But they'll ship it with a Tropic or Leather strap no extra charge and you can order the BoR separately (granted for another 200 bucks) but I'd have gotten the Tropic strap basically for free. See what I mean?

I certainly do, thanks.

Evening wear. The difference in the heft between this and the Speedy is substantial…and both feel just right.

Today I'm wearing a no-name with a base ETA6497 movement. Tomorrow we will disassemble and clean the movement in an Elma. Today was the first day of watchmaking classes at AWCI baby!!!

Enjoy the class! Envious, but I’ve got too much going on to turn loose to take it.

Anyone recommend a good watchmaker (or baker) that can make this right??

In the meantime:

This Tissot : from black to blue

A pity my photographic skills don’t enable me to capture the green blue shades too.
I like it and so did Roger Moore ;-)

My trusty 1861, every day, all winter, on the stock bracelet. Sorry to bore you with a photo of the same watch every few days!

Huge thanks to the Uncle Seiko half-link for making this possible. My bracelet now fits perfectly. See it there, under my index finger by the clasp? Best watch-related $29 I’ve ever spent.
