CLANK ON!

And your buckle was likely actually made in Olongapo, rather than Angeles. It's a great looking keepsake, even if it has your ho hum real name instead that Maverick-esque moniker. (Did you and your pals ever go out and play slow motion volleyball on the beach...shirtless?) I'll have to wait a couple of days to see the movement in my latest watch. I'm hoping it's marked like yours, but mathematically, it seems Wakmann is more likely. And yours is said to be a USN issue, but I can't confirm that.
You are correct, sir…it was from a vendor in Olongapo since our boat had pulled into Subic and we flew into Cubi. Also, we did not play slow motion shirtless volleyball on the beach…but we did chug boat loads of San Miguel beers in Olongapo. Post pics of your watch when you receive it…and it’s interesting that you say [unconfirmed] that mine is a USN issue…I’ve never been able to determine what mil branch.

Good morning, Forum. Thing 2 developed a fever overnight, so I’m home for the day. Put the 68 Transitional on a 1116/575 bracelet sourced from @vienna a couple of years ago, and I’m liking the period correct alternative to the 1039s. The best part of this morning, other than more daddy-daughter time has the finding of a treasure trove of owl pellets this morning. A local university is currently collecting owl pellets to assess owl diet and the prevalence of the threatened northern bog lemming… so cool!!!! Now, researching my next Speedy purchase!! Have an awesome day, Forum!

Here are a couple of sources that mention the 5742-1 spec as USN. One article said those with Breitling stamped on the chrono min. bridge like yours are harder to find. I'm guessing mine will be Wakmann. Both use a Valjoux 5 movement and dial is same. Just that bridge is different.

However, there is a Bonhams auction site that mentions it as an Army watch. Army, Navy...same to me.

After 3 day strict accuracy test, the deviation (error) was 0 second! As good as a GPS watch:

Enjoy your Tuesday.

Peace and love my brethren. Weird storm 8 inches in a couple hours then it just stopped. Was planning on a walk to build up strength but I’m seeing idiots drive sideways on the ice.

Any Rado for whatever day it is. Rado rednesday
