Ha ha I am home still recovering and I told my wife we need to get to the storage unit as I have been wearing the same watch for three weeks.

Back to the office and Speedy Tuesday with my 3861 and vintage Breitling mil watch from the early 1950s. The pocket watch gig isn’t working out so well up in the pointy end…it’s fairly difficult to access when wearing a 5 point harness. I might give the shirt pocket the old college try for the Breitling…which may be better than the pants pocket…

I had to search to find this old thread. I just stumbled onto one of these Breitling mil spec stop/pocket watches and bought it. I believe it needs a balance staff, which isn't such a bad job on a 16s size watch. I don't have it in hand yet, but I notice some of these are marked Breitling, some Wakmann on the movement...and some may even be Val 7733. Do you know how yours is marked? Also, on the case backs, there are a few different markings there, too.

Mine is marked Breitling.

And just so you know…if I could do it again, I would’ve had my belt buckle [made and purchased in the Philippines circa 1989 while on deployment] marked with ANCHOR CLANKER [instead of U.S. NAVY] and marked with MAD DOG [instead of my normal name].
