Vintage car Wednesday for me, been buying bits for my 1928 Austin 16/6 at the local vintage car club.

You'll get a like from me if you guess what they are!

Ok. I’ve been reviewing Google Images photo views of 1928 Austins, various models, exterior photos, interior photos, engine compartment photos and I haven’t uncovered a clue.

They appear to have nicely finished surfaces, chrome plated perhaps and so ought to be able to be seen on the cars somewhere, rather than hidden somewhere within the car’s innards.

Dammit. I was just about to send my "dibs" message when I read your note. It would be PERFECT with this. (I have several colors. Mad Dog has asked several times to borrow them. )

Much closer

They are located on the front seats and are attached to the top of the seat back and follow the angle of the seat back to the floor where they are attached, so seat back supports.

Here is one of the existing ones on my car and its in poor cosmetic shape ( the other 3 in the car are much much nicer.) The man in charge of the Vintage car club spares department had never seen any come in for the 14 years he had been there, if you snooze you loose so it was a no brainer to grab these ones, the plating cost to redo my 1 would have far surpassed what all 4 cost me yesterday.

Monument of the Discoveries in Belém (suburb of Lisbon), Portugal on the shores of the Tagus River where explorers/conquerors launched from.

Note the Rio de Janeiro-like wavy pattern in cobblestones. Not sure which came first, Rio, broader Portuguese origins, or Omega! 😜 😜

Marloe on the wrist this evening in preparation of an early start tomorrow for a hospital visit 🙁
A great team in the hospital but I somehow doubt they would be happy at me attempting to take pictures 😉

This guy played with some names in the 70’s (I don’t think he was bullshitting me) on the mend and soon I’ll be free and able to put on a different watch
