Why not join the last few with a little modern twist?

Still enjoying my early 1970s Eterna Sonic (F300) transistorized, tuning fork find. I especially like the unusual design of this one. Same movement as Omega F300 models. I don’t know whether to call the dial colour grey, or taupe. Slightly iridescent, so it changes colour depending on the light.

It is our 45th wedding anniversary today. I managed to marry a woman tough enough to put up with me and become mother to both a minister and a Marine! Still have the watch in the photo below which I had in high school years before our wedding day. Ugly as it is it still runs despite not having been serviced in 40 years.

This is a doubly important day in our house.

United States Marine Corps birthday. Yea!

Though I didn't serve, we're big Marine fans here. Our youngest son has been in since 2009 with three deployments including two in Afghanistan .

He's currently in Marine Corps Reserve. He was in Quantico a couple of weeks ago and paid his respects to another Marine hero while in the area.

Very emotional and heartfelt post.
Like for the post...not necessarily the watch...but who among us can honestly say they don't have an ugly watch that they'd never part with because of it's significance to them alone?

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Congratulations on your 45th anniversary! My wife and I just celebrated our tenth last month 😀 Do you by chance know the watch your son is wearing in the second image?
