First watch I ever purchased, back in college. Didn't know much about watches, or have the ability to really afford one, but liked the idea of wearing tritium gas tubes on my wrist and thinking the NAVY SEALS badging imparted something cool. . Great beater watch.

Being Tuesday, today it is my 33 year old Speedmaster 345.0808 which I serviced for the first time in February, this year. I know, I know! You think I should know better. But this watch has had less than two years use in the 1/3 of a century that I’ve owned it! This model was introduced in 1980, and it the first Speedmaster with a sapphire case back. It has the gold plated calibre 863 movement in it.
