Sixties Saturday

14765 circa 1962

almost time for fledglings to fly

I’ve always been amazed [and envious] regarding the simplicity of their [extremely] short flight training syllabus…they just “do it”…amazing! 😎

LATE ENTRY: Another aspect of their amazingness is that they can fly and drop a deuce at the same time…but it’s only amazing if the dropping of the deuce is NOT on either my Ford Police Interceptor or my Ford Mustang Bullitt.

One of about 9 or 10 railroader Accutrons that I have (model 214 and 218). This is one I haven’t shown before. Date code for 1967, so 56 years old, and still showing up for duty. Gold filled case and gold filled case back. This one is a model 218.

I appreciate the detail of the orange minute (& minute) numerals at the edges of the metal indices but they are so small that even with my reasonable vision, I struggle to see them, let alone read them. Nonetheless, a nice design touch
