Well no surprise Covid #6. We really got the shit kicked out of us lost control of the facility. I knew by Thursday I was done. I’ll be fine feels like a flu so far unfortunately one of my coworkers is not doing well as she has diabetes. It is very strange though last bout was thanksgiving I always seem to get hit on a holiday and I really like the 4th of July.

I have always been able to avoid giving it to my wife but I told her I don’t think she will be as lucky this time. This variant, while not very intense on the sickness spreads like nothing I have seen yet. Gotta admit I’m going to feel bad if my wife gets it. I am a little bummed as I have several placements coming up for people and even missing a few days of work is going to put me behind but down here we don’t deal the deck, we just play the percentages.

I am going to buy a seiko or something when I get over this one, gotta celebrate #6

Thoroughly enjoying my ‘new to me’ 1975 Flightmaster obtained courtesy of @Tristanp and via this Forum 👍
Loving this watch / have wanted one a long time. Picked it up from Swiss time this week after a service and a light re-finish under the watchful eye of Tony Coe, super job from Kieran Oakman and the team. It was already in good order, I just always do that for a planned ‘keeper’ … which this one is …. Happy Sunday everyone.

Ok...so this is the biggest beetle I've ever seen!
Could be a Bark Beetle?

Like nearly 3 inches long!

edit: a little web searching lead me to "Ponderous Borer Beetle" which being disposed to inhabiting the bark of dead Douglas Fir is considered not invasive or threatening to forest health.
They could have called it "Ponderous Boring Beetle" since they sure don't exhibit a propensity for motion of any sort and are super boring to watch.
They definitely got the "Ponderous" part right!
